Concordia Thanksgiving Food Drive to Benefit Sonshine Kitchen

Cabot, PA – Concordia has once again chosen The SonShine Kitchen of McKeesport as the recipient of Concordia's annual Thanksgiving Drive.

Sonshine Kitchen was founded in 1983 through the efforts of Concordia Lutheran Church in McKeesport. With the efforts of community and congregational volunteerism, the Sonshine Kitchen distributes hundreds of food bags during holiday months and on a usual monthly basis in addition to emergency food bags. CEO Barb Stuffer, suggests food items such as flour, sugar, rice, macaroni and cheese and cereals or any non-perishable items of any size canned goods include large, commercial size cans of fruits, vegetables and soups.

Calvary, 4725 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville/Rev. David Weeks will serve as drop-off/pick up location.

Monetary donations should be sent to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Development Office, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023 with a notation for Sonshine Kitchen.
