Concordia Hires Volunteer/Activities Coordinator for Independent Living

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Vice President of Independent Living Larry Talmadge recently announced the appointment of a new volunteer and activities coordinator at Concordia Haven Apartments.

Saxonburg resident Becky Lefever came to Concordia with a bachelor’s degree in community health (health education) from Slippery Rock University. She will be responsible for the development of volunteer program at the Havens and assisting with the planning and implementation of activities for independent living residents.

“Activities is a vital part of the health field from a holistic perspective,” Lefever said. “It’s important to keep the residents active, as health and quality of life often go hand in hand.”

Lefever became familiar with Concordia after both her brother and sister worked for the organization in high school. She said she has a passion for working with people and planning events, both of which are required in her new position.

A member at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lefever lives in Saxonburg. Her hobbies include outdoors activities, reading, and going to the beach. For more information on Concordia Haven Apartments, call 1.888.352.1571.
