Concordia Lund Care Center Resident Turns 100

Cabot, PA –  Concordia Lutheran Ministries Lund Care Center resident Marie Dorothy Higgins Adams celebrated her 100th birthday recently with a private dinner at Concordia.

The former Marie Kallenborn was born in Hermine, PA on Nov. 2, 1908. She was married twice, with both husbands passing away. Her first husband was W. Roy Higgins and her second was Charles Adams. She has two children: Charles Higgins of Potomac, MD and Alice Marie Higgins LaGraves of Buffalo, NY. She also has two grandchildren.

A housewife for most of her life, Adams spent many years volunteering at churches and hospitals before coming to Concordia 13 years ago. She lived in Tarentum before coming to Concordia.
