Concordia Adult Day Services Celebrates National Alzheimer's Awareness Month
Cabot, PA – The Adult Day Services component of Concordia Lutheran Ministries will be joining in the national celebration of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month with a presentation titled, “Maintain Your Brain” on Thursday, November 16, 2005 at 2:30 p.m.
Leigh Dillamon of the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss how one can adjust one’s lifestyle to maintain a healthy brain in the Haven II Dining Room, 148 Marwood Road, Entrance #5.
In addition, Adult Day Services has partnered with Concordia’s Health and Wellness Committee, an employee group that promotes prevention programs through Highmark sponsorship, to conduct a candlelight service on Monday, November 14th at 3 p.m. in the Lund Care Center Chapel, Entrance 4, 132 Marwood Road. Throughout the month, educational materials including diet information, a healthy recipe, winter exercise and crossword puzzles will be distributed. Director of Adult Day Services, Paula Sypulski has created a workbook and ADS clients are designing promotional bookmakers.
