ADS Represents Concordia at Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
Cabot, PA – While the advancement of Alzheimer’s research is an area that hits home for many people, it is especially important for those involved in Adult Day Services (ADS) at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. These dedicated employees and volunteers work with individuals suffering from the disease every day.
On Oct. 4, while many Concordia residents, employees, and supporters were at the annual Oktoberfest, ADS representatives were raising money and awareness at the annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. The Concordia Caring Hearts Team raised over $1100 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Donations will be accepted until Oct. 30.
The team, which included Paula and Michelle Sypulski and Mame Convery, walked in memory of former teammate and Haven resident Marvin Porter and teammate Natta Tristani, who couldn’t participate this year. A number of Concordia employees donated to the team also.
To learn more about Concordia Adult Day Services or to schedule a visit to the facility, call the director at 724.352.1571, ext. 8271.
