Hospice Co-Founder to Speak at Alzheimer's Support Group Meeting

Cabot – Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ adult day services will host an Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support group meeting on March 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lund ground floor activity room.

The speaker for the meeting, co-founder of Good Samaritan Hospice Kathy Raimondi, will discuss end of life issues. Raimondi is presently the Director of Patient Care Services at Good Samaritan Hospice, which is the only nonprofit, free-standing hospice founded on Christian principles and serving Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, and northern Westmoreland counties.

The meeting is open to all caregivers of individuals living with dementia. Adult care will be available during the meeting as well. For more information, please call Paula Sypulski, director of adult day services at Concordia, at (724) 352-1571, ext. 8271.

Good Samaritan Hospice partnered with Concordia Lutheran Ministries in January 2005 to complete Concordia’s continuum of care. In November, a nine-bed, in-patient Good Samaritan Hospice wing was opened in the Lund Care Center in Cabot.
