Concordia Assisted Living Couple Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Assisted Living residents Don and Ella Leighty celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a party with family and friends at the Lund Care Center.

Don and the former Ella Jeuther were married on May 25, 1948 in Ella’s home in Saxonburg. They have three children: James Leighty of Mitholodian, VA; Gerald Leighty of Oxnard, CA; and Barbara Phillips of New Bethlehem. They also have six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Don worked in the warehouse at Montgomery Wards for 44 years. Ella was a beautician.

The Leightys are members at Clinton United Presbyterian Church. In her free time, Ella enjoys sewing, cooking, and spending time with her children. Don enjoys gardening and woodworking.
