Concordia Independent Living Resident Celebrates 85th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven II resident Mary Frances Boggs, formerly of Emlenton, is celebrating her 85th birthday this week.

The former Mary Frances Burtner was born in Jefferson Twp. on March 9, 1923. She married George Boggs on May 20, 1946 at Thorn Creek Methodist Church in Butler and has four children: Beverly Jean Sasse of Butler; Barton Allen Boggs of Papillion, NB; Brenda Lynn Hall of Richmond, VA; and Beth Ann Jones of Hooper, CO. She also has 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Boggs has been a resident at Concordia since 2001. She attends Freeport Alliance Church and worked as a missionary until her retirement in 1990. In her spare time she enjoys reading.
