Concordia Independent Living Resident Celebrates 90th Birthday

Cabot, PA –Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident Zygmunt Bombalski, formerly of Natrona Heights, will celebrate his 90th birthday with a party in the Lund Care Center activity room with friends and family on March 24.

Bombalski was born in Natrona, PA on March 22, 1917. He married Eleanor Kordzi on Nov. 20, 1948, has two children, Ellen Bombalski of Richmond, VA and Daniel Bombalski of Alaquippa, PA, and two grandchildren. He and his wife also happen to share the same birthday, just eight years apart

Bombalski has been a resident at Concordia Haven I since 2004. He retired in 1979 as a coil shipper for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. and is a member of St. Joseph Parish in Cabot, PA.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and four months during World War II. During that time, he was a Staff Sergeant in the 8th and 15th Air Force. His hobbies include reading, crossword puzzles, and collecting coins.
