Concordia Visiting Nurses Private Duty Aide Wins Award
Cabot, PA – Leechburg resident Allison Newton recently received a “Health Care Worker Recognition Award” by the Armstrong County Healthcare Consortium.
Newton, a private duty aide for Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN), was given the award at a ceremony May 13 at Lenape Heights Golf Course in Ford City. The award is given to individuals who exemplify excellence in providing care to area residents in a variety of health care settings.
She was nominated for the award by CVN RN Kathy Loughlin. Newton has been with CVN Private Duty since 1998 and said she loves working with her patients and helping them with things they can no longer do themselves.
The Consortium was formed to recognize health care workers for their dedication and commitment to their professions, promote health care careers, and provide educational opportunities to health care workers.
CVN is a community-based, non-profit, home health agency based in Cabot, PA since 1997. Its team includes registered nurses, medical social workers, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, intravenous, and wound care nursing, and home health aides.
