Concordia Visiting Nurses Appoints Case Manager

Cabot, PA – Concordia Visiting Nurses, a part of Concordia Lutheran Ministries recently appointed Butler resident Karen McCreary as case manager.

McCreary completed Licensed Practical Nurse courses at Butler County Community College in 1984. In 1988, she graduated from the former Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for Sunnyview Nursing Home and Armstrong County Memorial Hospital prior to joining Visiting Nurses Association as a case manager in1998.

She has experience in direct patient care and cardiac monitoring as well as working as a liaison with physicians and coordinating care between doctor’s offices, nurses and insurance companies.

McCreary is married to husband Thomas and has two children, Jonathan, 11, and Haley 8.  She said she thoroughly enjoys nursing and the challenge it presents.

“I am so glad to be a part of such a quality organization,” McCreary said.
