Who Pays for Professional Home Health Care?
Professional home health care is a Medicare Part A benefit that requires no co-pay or deductible. Other payment sources may include:
Medicare/Medicaid, Aetna/US Healthcare, All Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, Gateway, UPMC, Unison, Health America/Health Assurance/Advantra and the PDA Waiver Bridge Program
Some insurance policies will not cover all home health services unless certain conditions are met. If your insurance company does not cover the services you need, or you are uninsured, you may still obtain home health care through private pay or alternative funding sources.
You may qualify for home health care benefits under Medicaid if you:
- Are homebound during the course of your treatment
- Are under the care of a physician
- Reside in Concordia Visiting Nurses Medicare coverage area
- Require part-time intermittent skilled service
To serve you better, Concordia continues to expand our list of participating insurance plans – call if you don’t see yours listed. We currently serve Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Mercer and Westmoreland counties, and are expanding our service area every day.
