Concordia Dog Show Highlights Employee Pooches

Cabot, PA – “Concordia Lutheran Ministries is going to the dogs.”

And no, that’s not an angry competitor trying to spread untrue rumors about the organization. On Aug. 19, more than 20 Terriers, Shelties, and Beagles overran the Lund Care Center back yard, as the activities department hosted the 8th Annual Concordia Dog Show.

Over 60 residents and community members attended the event, which was judged by four Concordia residents: Paulette Eshleman, Assisted Living, Annabelle McKinnis, Assisted Living, Dottie Morgan, Haven II, and Don Ward, Skilled. The dogs were judged on best groomed, best performer, most obedient, and most friendly.

Jaime White, director of assisted living activities, said the residents love any chance to interact with friendly animals, and this annual event ranks as one of the favorites.

“Everyone had a such a nice time,” she said. “Between the perfect weather and the dogs, the residents were so happy. We’re so appreciative of the dog owners for making this event possible.”
