Concordia Achieves Five Star Rating with Medicare's New System
Cabot, PA – Less than a month after achieving accreditation as an Aging Services Network, Concordia Lutheran Ministries was recognized yet again. In an attempt to simplify the process of finding a quality skilled nursing facility, Medicare recently adopted a star rating system, which basically takes information collected from health and safety surveys and translates it into an easily recognizable rating.
Concordia’s rating was neither unexpected nor unwarranted, as Concordia Lutheran Health & Human Care (Lund Care Center) and Concordia at Rebecca Residence both received five-star ratings.
Rebecca’s rating was noted in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on Dec. 18, as it is one of only four facilities in Allegheny County with a perfect rating (out of 64). Concordia Lutheran Health & Human Care (Lund Care Center) was mentioned in the Butler Eagle as one of three five-star rated facilities in Butler County.
According to www.Medicare.gov, the star rating system focuses on three primary areas: health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. A star rating is given in each area, then averaged out for an overall.
To schedule a tour at any of Concordia’s facilities, call 724.352.1571.
