Concordia to Recognize Adult Day Services Week With Cookie Fetival

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries will join over 4,600 adult day centers nationwide to recognize National Adult Day Services Week with several events, including a Cookie Festival in the Lund Care Center Adult Day Services (ADS) area on Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Cookie Festival is open to the community and will also feature an open house of the expanded ADS area and free tutorials of Concordia’s new touch screen computers with MindFit technology. Homemade cookies will be available for $2 per dozen.

Proceeds from the event benefit ADS programming. In addition to the Cookie Festival, Concordia ADS participants will celebrate the week with a picnic, Wii Bowling tournament, making Mini Mes, and more.

According to the National Adult Day Services Web site NADSA.org, ADS programs can significantly improve the lives of adults with functional and/or cognitive impairments, enabling them to live at home with family or friend caregivers. This year’s theme is Enriching Lives Through Wellness and Creativity.
