Concordia Appoints Deaconess Intern
Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries recently appointed June Nuckolls as Deaconess Intern at the Concordia at Cabot campus.
Nuckolls, a student at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, is working more exclusively at Concordia at the Orchard. Her work includes conducting spiritual assessments and working with Concordia Chaplain Paul Rist with grief counseling. Nuckolls was led to be a deaconess after her husband William abruptly passed away three and a half years ago.
Before coming to Concordia, Nuckolls worked in Animal Science, in which she has a Bachelor’s of Science from Fresno State in California. She has managed a small farm and a dry lot sheep research facility, in addition to teaching in the field.
Nuckolls, who is currently attending Faith Lutheran Church, lives in Butler with her two cats Midnight and Storm. She has two daughters: Sarah, 23, and Amanda, 21. She still enjoys animals and recently took lessons on driving a team of horses.
