Concordia Introduces Senior College for Residents, Communty
Cabot, PA – This Fall, Concordia Haven Apartments, in cooperation with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Pittsburgh, will begin the first semester of the inaugural Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning – a “senior college” designed to stimulate the mind and stay mentally sharp.
There are four primary courses offered this semester, including:
E-mail Basics, Introduction to Tai Chi, Poetry for Fun and Enlightenment, and Math-a-watics? A number of ongoing classes individuals could enroll in also, such as Line Dancing, Watercolor Class, and Silver Sneaker Fitness Classes.
Haven residents teach some courses, while others feature instructors from the various fields. The cost for community members varies, with most classes being $35 for a five-week session – Concordia residents receive a significant discount.
If you would like to be added to a Concordia Institute mailing list, teach a course, or inquire about the Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning, contact Cathy Questiaux, Concordia Haven Program Director at 1.888.352.1571, ext. 8518 or email cquestiaux@concordialm.org.
