Concordia Promotes Employee to Assistant Director of Skilled Nursing Activities
Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Vice President for Skilled Nursing and Short-Term Rehab Charlene Kline announced recently that Butler Twp. resident Donna J. Heintz was recently promoted to Assistant Director of Skilled Nursing Activities at the Concordia at Cabot campus.
Heintz has been with Concordia for almost five years, serving as an Activities Assistant. She is certified as an Activities Assistant (AAC) through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) and is currently working towards her Activity Director certification.
In her new position, Heintz, along with her staff, will be responsible for establishing, conducting, and evaluating a variety of leisure services for skilled nursing residents at the Lund Care Center, track resident participation and abilities, and keep a consistent database of new admissions, among many other duties.
“It’s great to be able to use my God-given gifts with the residents and staff,” she said. “Planning new and exciting activities and events hopefully enriches the lives of the residents at Concordia.”
Heintz has been involved with Concordia since she was a child, attending church picnics and other events held at the campus; she was even married on the grounds. She lives with her husband Fred, her two dogs Bubba and Bingo, and her cat Lydia. She also has one son, Nathanael, who is getting married in June.
Heintz is a member at Bethel Lutheran Church, where she is on the Board of Directors as the Christian Service Director. Her hobbies include crafting, E-Baying, treasure hunting at garage sales, and reading.
