Concordia Purchases Medical Equipment and Supply Company

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries acquired APEX CPAP & Respiratory Services, Inc., a durable medical equipment (DME) company located in Saxonburg on Wednesday.

The full-service home medical equipment company provides products and services such as hospital beds, wheelchairs and oxygen.  Michele Peterman, a registered respiratory therapist and former owner of the company, said she is “thrilled to become part of the family of services Concordia has to offer.”

One of the specialty items is CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) Therapy, which is used to treat sleep apnea patients.  According to Peterman, up to 7% of the population has sleep apnea, and “we have helped our patients achieve a higher than average Sleep Therapy Compliance.”

After three months of negotiation, President and CEO Keith E. Frndak is pleased to add this service to our growing continuum.  Operations will continue at the office location at 333 West Main Street, Suite 200 under the name Concordia Medical Equipment.
