Concordia Visiting Nurses Hires Psychiatric Nurse

Cabot, PA – In an effort to improve patients’ holistic health, Concordia Visiting Nurses recently hired a new Psychiatric Nurse.

Jan Lee R.N. has been a psychiatric nurse since receiving her R.N. license from Butler County Community College in 1984. She has worked for several healthcare institutions, as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Health, before coming to Concordia.

Lee’s primary responsibilities are to assess the mental health status of her patients, instruct the management of mental health disorders, teach coping skills, and communicate with other staff and doctors. Additionally, she deals with crisis intervention, medication management, and treating patients holistically.

“I’m amazed at how courageous our patients are,” Lee said. “I am honored that patients allow me to come into their homes, their worlds, and trust me enough to guide them to better emotional health.”

Lee currently lives in Natrona Heights with her son Brady, 10. Her interests include tennis, biking, and swimming. Lee describes herself as warm, open, and compassionate, all qualities that help in her position with CVN.
