Concordia Lutheran Ministries Couple Celebrates 65th Wedding Anniversary

Cabot, PA – Homer and Dorothy Otterman of Concordia Lutheran Ministries will mark their milestone 65th wedding anniversary on August 9.  The former Dorothy Jane McQueen of Freeport, PA and Homer of South Buffalo Township were married in the United Methodist Church in Freeport on August 9, 1941.

The Ottermans have four children; Joyce Ann Pratley of Dormont; Donna Saurers of Slidell, LA; Lewis of South Buffalo Township; and Jeff of Tampa, FL. They also have five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Homer is retired after 40 years of service at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation and three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dorothy worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries prior to becoming a homemaker once the children were born.

The couple belongs to Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport.
