Good Samaritan Hospice Hires Administrative Staff Member
Cabot, PA – Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, recently hired Butler resident Jen Ekas as Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator.
Ekas, who worked for Concordia as a Dietary Aide through college, will be responsible for screening and hiring potential employees, payroll for all of GSH, tracking all employees (i.e.: new hires, terminations, vacation time, etc…), and assisting employees with benefit concerns and eligibility/enrollment.
She is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management. While at SRU she was active in the service sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma and graduated Cum Laude.
“I have really enjoyed getting to know my fellow co-workers at GSH and I’m looking forward to being involved with future events and projects like our 5k race (held in October),” Ekas said. “I enjoy taking the knowledge I learned at SRU and applying it to the job I am doing.”
Ekas lives in Butler with her parents Charles and Kimberly, her two dogs Sophie and Guess, and her cat KiKi. In her spare time she spends as much time as possible outside and loves the beach.
