Fashion Show Planned for May 5th

Cabot, PA – The second annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Fashion Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 5 at the Butler Country Club.

The theme for this years show is “Spring Fiesta,” in recognition of Cinco De Mayo. The day will start at 10:30 a.m. with registration, followed by a basket auction, clothes shopping, lunch, and finally “Fashions by Phyllis” will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Hair stylist Linda Bogan will also be on hand to offer hair coloring demonstrations.

Last year’s event was an enormous success, as the event sold out several weeks prior to the affair. Proceeds benefit Concordia’s “A Time to Build…” Capital Campaign, which is about halfway to its $2.5 million goal and scheduled to conclude in November.

Concordia President and CEO Keith Frndak said he hopes the generosity of the community towards the Resident Recovery Fund will carry over to support the Capital Campaign. This campaign is helping to fund the building over 100 Haven residents are temporarily calling home, since the Nov. 5 fire.
