Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 95

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident Joseph M. Fieo, formerly of Natrona Heights, recently celebrated his 95th birthday with a family gathering.

Fieo was born in Creighton, PA on March 19, 1914. He married Helen Celko on June 12, 1938 in Metuchen, NJ and has three children, Melody Fieo of Salisbury, MD; Joseph M. Fieo Jr. of Dubois; and Crystal Rennie of New Castle.

Fieo has been a resident at Concordia since 2000. He retired in 1977 as a Glass Inspector at PPG in Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Navy and is a skilled carpenter/cabinet maker.

He and his wife are members of Central Presyterian Church in Tarentum, where Joseph served as an elder and trustee. He was active in the American Legion, Boy Scouts of America, and Allegheny Kiski Historical Society, as well as being a 32nd degree Mason.

Some of his interests include gardening, collecting coins, and volunteering.
