Concordia Independent Living Resident Celebrates 85th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven III resident Clarence Fryer, formerly of New Kensington, celebrated his 85th birthday recently with a small dinner with friends.

Fryer was born Jan. 12, 1924 in Leechburg. At age 20 he married his wife Gertrude Luzar on June 1 in Brackenridge. A steelworker in his younger days, Fryer worked at Allegheny Ludlum until his retirement in 1988. He has been a practicing Lutheran for most of his life and is a member of the Masonic Order and Benevolent Protective Order (B.P.O.) of the Elks.

In his free time, Fryer enjoys gardening and traveling. Among other places, he has taken trips to Italy, Hawaii, and Canada.
