Good Samaritan Hospice 5K Attracts Over 140 Runners/Walkers

Cabot, PA – On Oct. 7, one day after the annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Oktoberfest in Cabot, Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, hosted its 5K Run/Walk in North Park.

Over 140 runners/walkers participated in the event, which raised money for GSH. For the second year in a row, 48 year-old Allison Park resident Dominic Wyzomirski crossed the finish line first with a time of 17:23.6. For the men, the other top three finishers were 33 year-old “Z Z” (18:23.7) and 38 year-old Cranberry Township resident Matt Marshall (19:28.2).

The top three female finishers were: 29 year-old Pittsburgh resident Britta Smith (21:11.8), 36 year-old Frederick, MD Michelle Trdina (23:19.0), and 31 year-old Wexford resident Danielle Wilson (24:59.0).

The day started at 8:00 a.m. with registration and the race started at 9:00. Over 100 participants were walk-ons at the event. Special thanks to all the runners, helpers, and volunteers.
