Good Samaritan Hospice Hires Special Events Coordinator/Donations Coordinator

Cabot, PA – Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, recently hired a Special Events/Donations Coordinator at its office in Wexford.

Gibsonia resident Crystal Nagy will be responsible for coordinating special events and tracking and recording donations, among other things. She has worked in various facets of health care since 1999, including a stint with Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

Regarding what drew her to hospice care, Nagy said, “I was very close with my great grandmother, and when she peacefully passed away in 1998 with our family by her side, I felt that it was my calling to somehow be able to provide that experience to as many people as possible.”

Nagy graduated from LaRoche College in 2002 with a B.S. in Psychology and Gerontology and has one year of a Master’s degree in social work completed from the University of South Carolina. She is also certified in gerontology, first aid, and CPR.

A member of St. Victor’s Catholic Church, Nagy currently lives with her family until her wedding next August when she will move to Fox Chapel with her fiancee. She enjoys working with animals, scrapbooking, reading, and exercising in her spare time.
