Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 95

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries resident Gerline Gehr celebrated her 95th birthday recently.

The former Gerline Hite was born Dec 5, 1913 in Bedford County. She married her late husband John M. Gehr on Aug. 12, 1937 at their home in Greensburg. She has been at Concordia for 12 years since moving from her home in Beaver.

A retired school teacher, Gehr’s last employer before retirement in 1956 was the Beaver Area School District. She is a member of the Century Club, President of the Garden Club and Children’s Aide Society, and Personnel Director for PSER of Beaver.

A member at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver, Gehr’s hobbies include traveling, golfing, and playing cards.
