Good Samaritan Hospice Hires House Manager

Cabot, PA – Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, recently hired New Brighton resident Stephanie Chute, RN as manager of the Hospice House at the organization’s Wexford location.

Chute came to GSH with a diploma from Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She will be responsible for ensuring compliance at the house, scheduling and managing staff, and transitioning patients and families into GSH care.

Her motivation for joining the GSH team was both clinical and personal.

“After talking with a friend about hospice care, I realized that there has a whole part of nursing that I was missing out on,” she said. “I was rarely satisfied with my work and I often felt like I was never doing enough for my patients. With hospice, especially GSH, I am able to share Christ with people in their last moments and help comfort a distressed family member.”

A member at Edgewood Baptist Church, Chute lives with her husband, Rob, and two dogs, Brady and Roxy. Her hobbies include softball, water skiing, and scrapbooking. For more information on GSH, call 800.720.2557.
