Good Samaritan Hospice to Host Plant Sale in Cabot

Cabot, PA – To raise funds for children’s bereavement retreat “Camp Good SAM,” Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is hosting a plant sale May 21 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on the patio behind Lund Care Center, 134 Marwood Rd., Jefferson Twp.

Saxony Gardens Greenhouse will be supplying the plants, with 10 percent of the flowers, vegetables, baskets, and flats sales benefiting Camp Good SAM, an overnight camp for children and adolescents to help them cope with the loss of a loved one.

This bereavement camp is specially designed for that age group, with goals aimed to build trust, enhance positive self-esteem, and strengthen coping skills. The campers are paired with specially trained volunteers throughout the camp and a memorial service is held at the end of the weekend for campers and their families.
