Concordia Oertel Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Oertel Care Center resident Grace Wilson celebrated her 100th birthday on June 22 with a family reception and party in the Oertel Assisted Living Library.

The former Grace McLaughlin was born in Arnold, PA on June 22, 1907. She married her late husband E. Herman Cepull on June 19, 1925 and had four children, Patricia Maier of Concordia Haven III; Frederick Cepull of Tarentum; Edward Cepull of Orlando, FL; and Karen Chomyak of Highlands Ranch, CO. She has 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

An extremely family-oriented woman, one of her favorite pastimes was baking fresh cinnamon rolls for her loved ones every Saturday. Wilson is a member of Arnold United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Women’s Society of Christian Service.

She worked her entire life as a homemaker, being a wife and mother to her four children. Her interests include cooking, needlework, and baking.
