Concordia Haven Couple Celebrates 60th Anniversary
Cabot, PA – Doris and Mick (James McKee) Patterson of Concordia Haven Apartments III in Cabot celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Saturday with an Open House from 2 – 4 p.m. for family and friends. More than 150 people came to the Haven III Dining Room to offer their congratulations.
The former Doris Coleman married Patterson on September 26, 1945 at her home in West Lebanon, Indiana County.
They have three children: Constance Donovan (husband, James) of Columbia, South Carolina; James and wife, Bonnie of Apollo and William of Springfield, Virginia. They also have one granddaughter, Stacy and three grandsons, Nathan, Keith and Todd and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Patterson was a dairy farmer, bus driver and worked for the Kiski Township road crew as well as Schaffer & Ray and Gerald Medice Funeral Homes. Mrs. Patterson was a beautician. He served during World War II aboard the USS Feleand Transport Ship from 1942 –45. In fact, this week they are traveling to Oklahoma City for a ship reunion.
Before moving to Concordia Haven nearly four years ago, they lived in Kiski Township and are members of Apollo United Presbyterian Church.
