Concordia Independent Living Resident Celebrates 85th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven III resident Ruth E. Frohn, formerly of Murrysville, celebrated her 85th birthday recently.

The former Ruth Achelpohl was born in Argonia, Kansas on Feb. 13, 1923. She married John Frohn on June 1, 1944 and had two children, Jan Frohn of Sarver and Patricia Balash, who passed away in August of 2004. She also has two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Frohn has been a resident at Concordia Haven III since October of 2001. She is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, PA and was a secondary education teacher for the Gateway School District until her retirement in 1986.

In her free time, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, and being with people.
