Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 90

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven II resident Ruth Isenberg, formerly of Cabot, celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a family dinner at the Saxonburg Hotel.

The former Ruth Muder was born in Butler on Dec. 1, 1919. She married John Isenberg Jr. on May 2, 1941 in Butler Methodist Church. She has two children: Donald Isenberg of Forestville, Pa. and Sharon Laconi of Morristown, N.J. She also has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Prior to her retirement in 1983, Isenberg worked in the cafeteria at Knoch High School. She is a member of Cabot United Methodist Church, as well as the American Legion and Eastern Star.

Isenberg has lived at Concordia for 1 year. She enjoys Bible study, bingo, and socializing with her friends.
