Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 95

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident Ellsworth Johnson celebrated his 95th birthday recently with a private lunch in the Haven I dining room.

Johnson was born in Forestville, PA on May 21, 1914. He married his wife Evelyn Heitzer on June 15, 1936 in Wheeling, WV. He has lived at Concordia for over three years, since coming from his home in Butler on Lynnwood Dr.

Johnson worked as an oil distributor for Hull Resurfacing until his retirement 20 years ago. He also owned a custard stand in Chicora called Johnson’s Soft Serve. A member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Butler, Johnson has always enjoyed fishing, hunting, and music.
