Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 90

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven III resident Kathryn McNutt, formerly of Butler, celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a family dinner at Olive Garden.

The former Kathryn Bish was born Aug. 17, 1919 in South Bethlehem. She married her husband Earl Q. McNutt on June 28, 1957 in Rimersburg and has one stepson, William Earl McNutt of Butler. She also has four step-grandchildren.

A secretary until her retirement in 1978, she worked for Heeter Lumber Co. and the U.S. Social Security Administration. She has lived at Concordia for nearly eight years.

McNutt is a member at Hill United Presbyterian Church in Rimersburg, where she also belonged to the Willing Workers and helped with Meals on Wheels. She enjoys sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
