Concordia Haven Resident Celebrates 90th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident Esther Kroh, formerly of Washington, PA, is celebrating her upcoming 90th birthday with a family cruise during the week of March 7.

The former Esther Galbraith was born in Bellevue on March 8, 1918. She married Dr. Dean F. Kroh on Sept. 2, 1949 in a home wedding in Valencia, PA. She has three children: David Kroh of Wexford; Dean K. Kroh of Pittsburgh; and June Kershner of Grants, NM. One son named Daniel passed away in 2005. She also has six grandchildren.

Prior to her retirement in 1987, Kroh worked as a Medical Missionary for Christian & Missionary Alliance (CMA). Esther and her husband were missionaries for 38 years. She is active in the Concordia Haven Apartments Resident Advisory Committee, the CMA Missions Committee, and the local Alliance Women.

Kroh and her husband have lived at Concordia for 10 years since leaving their previous home in Washington, PA. She enjoys travel, reading, and e-mailing with friends, family members, and other missionaries.
