Concordia Legacy Society Luncheon Shows Appreciation to Long Term Givers

Cabot, PA – While the food, the atmosphere, and the fellowship all exceeded expectations at Tuesday’s Legacy Society Appreciation Luncheon, it was the ongoing messages of thanksgiving, stewardship, and responsibility that those in attendance took away that afternoon.

The event was held at the Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel and was hosted by Concordia President and CEO Keith Frndak and his Senior Management, as well as Concordia’s Board of Directors. Rev. Jamison Hardy delivered the message for the affair, while Frndak talked with the 85 in attendance about gratitude and spreading the love that Concordia has shared with so many.

He shared the constant need for support with various funds and programs at Concordia, including the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, Angel Tear Ministries, Concordia Leadership Program and New Ventures Program.

Frndak, who has been with Concordia for 25 years this August, was also presented with the gift of a decorative glass mountain to commemorate his continued commitment to the leadership and guidance of young adults in the Church. An endowment fund called Servant Leaders of the Cross was established in his honor as well. The fund will provide scholarship to young adults looking to participate in mission events throughout the Church as servant leaders. Those who receive the Servant Leaders of the Cross scholarships will be given the same glass mountain that Frndak received.

Additionally, Director of Public Relations and Development Shirley Freyer gave the welcome, Deaconess Sara Lemon sang the invocation, and Chaplain Jack Hartman contributed the closing prayer. Harpist Beth Pifer provided entertainment.
