Concordia Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Lund Care Center resident Hilda Lucas recently celebrated her 100th birthday.

The former Hilda Kloby was born May 15, 1907. She married George Lucas on Aug. 27, 1930 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Braddock. The couple has two children, Alma Eggers and husband Cal of Penn Hills, and Albert Lucas and wife Joan of Rochester, MI. She also has five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A housewife in her younger days, Lucas came to Concordia in 2000, after previously living in North Braddock. She is a member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Pittsburgh and enjoys television and spending time with her great grandchildren. In the past, Lucas enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and reading.
