Concordia Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Lund Care Center resident Marie E. Powell recently celebrated her 100th birthday.

The former Marie E. Roth was born May 1, 1907. She was married to George E. Powell and has three children, Jackie Feller of Bethel Park; George D. Powell of Bethel Park; and Joyce Gehrman of Atlanta, GA. She also has 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A housekeeper for most of her life, Powell came to Concordia in March 1999 after previously living in Castle Shannon. She is a member at Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park and enjoys being involved with her church, spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking.
