Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 90

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident James F. McHugh celebrated his 90th birthday on April 23 with a family gathering.

McHugh was born in Pittsburgh on April 23, 1919. He married Ruth Windram on May 25, 1944 at St. Lawrance Church and has four children: Gary McHugh of Mars; Lawrence McHugh of Northmover, MA; Mary Jo Ballington of Hampton; and Maureen McHugh of Deerfield, IL. He also has seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Formerly of Cranberry Twp., McHugh has been at Concordia for 15 months. He worked as a railroad engineer at Conrail Mainline until his retirement in 1979. He also served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

McHugh enjoys stained glass work and wood working in his spare time.
