Concordia Independent Living Couple Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven II couple Thomas (Tom) and Rebecca (Becky) Moore celebrated 60 years of marriage on Nov. 10 with a celebration in the Haven II dining room.

Thomas and the former Rebecca Nolen were married on Nov. 1, 1947 in the First Baptist Church of Richmond, VA. They have two children: Constance M. Brennan of Lower Burrell and Donna M. Borland of Emleton, and three grandchildren.

The Moores came to Concordia in 1999, after living in Natrona Heights for 32 years and New Kensington for 13. Until his retirement in 1985, Thomas worked in sales at General Box. He also served in the Navy two separate times, working on aircraft carriers. Rebecca was a homemaker her entire life.

After retirement, the Moores frequented between Pennsylvania and Florida, until settling down at Concordia. They are members at Cabot United Methodist Church.
