Concordia to Introduce Paper Recycling Program on Earth Day
Cabot, PA – In an effort to become more environmentally friendly, the employees of Concordia Lutheran Ministries are introducing a paper-recycling program at the organization’s Cabot location on Earth Day, April 22.
To commemorate the cause, there will be a brief dedication at 12:00 noon that day behind the Lund Care Center - 134 Marwood Rd., Jefferson Twp. - where the inaugural “Project Paper Power” will kick off. The employees hope to recycle three tons of paper per month.
Members of the community are invited to show their support by attending the dedication and bringing paper products to be recycled. Free refreshments will be available and anyone that brings paper for the bin during the event can enter their name for a door prize.
Paper products that Concordia can recycle include newspapers and inserts, magazines/catalogs, office papers, hard cover books (with the bindings removed), and most direct mail pieces. Concordia cannot recycle cardboard, phone books, or food boxes. Look for the green and yellow bin behind Lund and help save our natural resources for future generations.
For information on Concordia’s paper-recycling program, contact Cathy Bullion at 724.352.1571, ext. 8503.
