Concordia Independent Living Resident Turns 85

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven II resident Paul Gvoth, formerly of Kiski Twp., recently celebrated his 85th birthday with a family dinner.

Gvoth was born in Czechoslavakia on Nov. 19, 1924. He married Lucille Conto on April 4, 1951 in Hyde Park and has two children, Paul A. Gvoth, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA; and Susan E. Shank of Salineville, OH. He also has three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Gvoth has lived at Concordia for nearly three years. A U.S. Army veteran who served from 1950 to 1952, Gvoth retired from Allegheny Ludlum as a General Maintenance Foreman in 1987. He is a member of the Elks Club and American Legion.

A member of First Lutheran Church in Vandergrift, Gvoth enjoys golf, bowling, and hunting.
