Concordia Names Director of Rehabilitation at Rebecca Residence

Cabot, PA – Concordia President and CEO Keith Frndak recently appointed Gibsonia resident Amy Ferrill-Olson to the position of Director of Rehabilitation Services for Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

Olson comes to Concordia at Rebecca Residence after working in physical therapy for nearly 15 years. She has been at Concordia at Cabot since May of 2003. Her responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, conducting rehab meetings, discharge planning, and scheduling staff and patients.

“My new position at Concordia holds excitement and challenges,” she said. “I enjoy being part of an excellent team whose goal is to give each individual patient the best care possible.”

Olson holds a Bachelor’s degree in administration from La Roche College and a Master’s degree in physical therapy from Slippery Rock University. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospital, rehab units, home care, and skilled nursing facilities.

Olson said seeing her sister improve after a serious auto accident was her inspiration for choosing healthcare as a career. Additionally, she spent three months in Bombay, India, witnessing the great physical need in that area.

She lives with her husband Matt, her three children Gabrielle, 11; Olivia, 10; and Luke, 7; and their Maltese puppy ‘Marshmallow.’ Outside of Concordia, Olson enjoys   traveling, leading a dance team, working out, and serving as a pastor with her husband at Covenant Life Church in Butler.
