Concordia at Rebecca Residence Opens Expanded Therapy Center

Allison Park, PA – In an effort to better serve its patients, Concordia at Rebecca Residence recently doubled the size of its inpatient physical therapy center in Allison Park.

The center is approximately 2650 sq. ft. and serves an average of 40 people per day. Concordia Director of Rehabilitation Services Nick Reiser said they recently began seeing patients in the expansion. A professional open house is slated for Nov. 15.

“With this expansion, every effort was made to showcase our commitment to superior, individualized care,” Reiser said. “The overall ambience of the center is tremendous.”

Reiser said the expanded center has been received well by staff and patients alike. The focus was to provide a more personal feel – with open windows, open spaces, and plenty of room to accommodate the personalized treatments offered at Concordia at Rebecca Residence.

Highlights of the center include a custom mural painted on the wall and a 265-gallon aquarium to aid in patients’ holistic health. The expansion was built by Uhl Construction and cost roughly $250,000. Reiser said the center positions Concordia at Rebecca Residence to increase their patient volume and offer an even higher quality of care to its users.

Additionally, a new Director of Rehabilitation for Rebecca Residence was appointed recently: Gibsonia resident Amy Ferrill-Olson. Olson comes to Concordia at Rebecca Residence with nearly 15 years in physical therapy, four of which were at Concordia at Cabot.
