Concordia Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

Cabot, PA – While most people recognize 8/8/08 as the start of the Summer Olympic Games this year, Concordia at Rebecca Residence resident Mary Margaret Brennan was celebrating for a different reason that day: her 100th birthday.

Brennan, affectionately known as “Peg” to her friends, was born August 8, 1908 in Edgewood, PA. She spent her life educating others as a teacher for the Pittsburgh Public School System until her retirement in 1973.

A 100th birthday party was held in her honor in Conneaut Lake recently, as friends and family came out to wish her their best. A member of St. James Church in Wilkinsburg, Brennan enjoys traveling, reading, golf, tennis, sailing, and spending time with her family.
