Concordia Independent Living Resident Celebrates 85th Birthday

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident M. Eleanor Schwalm Kolarik, formerly of Shaler, recently celebrated her 85th birthday.

Schwalm was born in Czechoslovakia on March 3, 1922. She married Horst Schwalm on Feb. 16, 1944 and has six children, including two sets of twins: Patricia of Evanston, IL; Janet and Diane of Greenville, SC; Susan of Edinboro; Amy of Berlin, CT; and Alise of Waterford, PA. She also has 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Schwalm has been a resident at Concordia since July of 1970. She is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, PA where she is an RWBC Chaplain.

Her interests include leading a Bible study at Concordia, sewing, politics, and reading.
