ADULT DAY SERVICES
Often, caregivers need assistance in meeting the needs of a person with physical problems or diminished reasoning skills. Located in the Lund Care Center on the Concordia at Cabot campus, Concordia’s Adult Day Services program provides a safe and secure environment for that person to feel welcome and comfortable.
Our program includes much more than just basic care. Ongoing evaluations of each participant, medical oversight by an on-site nurse, outpatient rehabilitation services, nutritious meals and snacks, structured toileting program, daily activities, exercise class, assistance with bathing and grooming, worship services and pastoral visits are all part of our daily routine. Additionally, we provide a variety of therapies for individuals with Alzheimer’s type diseases.
While the focus is on our participants, we do not neglect the needs of the caregivers. Specialists on specific issues are available for consultation and support groups meet on the second Tuesday of each month for caregivers of individuals with dementia and family caregivers in general.
Concordia provides transportation only to residents living on campus. All others will need to arrive on their own. We are happy to try to accommodate your family caregiver work schedule. Concordia’s Adult Day Services is licensed by the Department of Aging and is a participating provider in Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ CARF-CCAC accredited Aging Services Network.
Hours of operation are:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
