ADULT DAY SERVICES Often, caregivers need assistance in meeting the needs of a person with physical problems or diminished reasoning skills. Located in the Lund Care Center on the Cabot campus, Concordia’s Adult Day Services provides a safe and secure environment for a person to feel welcome and comfortable.
Our program includes much more than just basic care. Ongoing evaluations of each participant, medical oversight by an on site nurse, outpatient rehabilitation services, nutritious meals and snacks, structured toileting program, daily activities, exercise class, assistance with bathing and grooming, worship services and pastoral visits are all part of our daily routine. Additionally, we provide a variety of therapies for individuals with Alzheimer’s type diseases.
While the focus is on our participants, we do not neglect the needs of the caregivers. Specialists on specific issues are available for consultation and support groups are available for caregivers of individuals with dementia and family caregivers in general.
Participants are expected to receive rides from family and friends. Concordia will provide transportation to residents living on campus at no extra charge. We are happy to try to accommodate your family caregiver work schedule. Concordia’s Adult Day Services is licensed by the Department of Aging.
