Concordia at Cabot saw a flurry of activity on Sunday, July 29, as over 600 community members, staff and residents attended the 131st Annual Concordia Summer Festival. Between the delicious food, entertainment, Saxonburg Trolleys, fishing derby, worship service (featuring the outstanding preacher Dr. Dean Wenthe), car cruise and kids activities, there wasn’t a frown in the place.
Special thanks to the dozens of volunteers, Dr. Wenthe for making the trip from Indiana, Doc Tile Flooring and H.A.G.S. Bait for sponsoring the fishing derby, and all the individuals and families who came out. What an awesome day! What wonderful pictures! I wish I was in Cabot on that day to volunteer and not elsewhere. My mother just aqccepted an apartment at Haven 2 so I will be there in 2013!
Erin, thanks for the kind words! Oktoberfest is on Oct. 6 and we always need volunteers for that too.
And we look forward to having your mom in the Concordia family!
